Some time ago, the State Fire Marshal’s Office produced an online training program through ICC allowing Ohio’s Certified Fire Safety Inspectors to obtain free CEs. This training focused on the changes in the 2011 OFC from the 2007 version. This training is still available and is a good way to receive continuing education, which is sometimes difficult to obtain. The courses consist of eight, one-hour modules. Upon completion of a short quiz, the user can print a certificate of completion from the SFM. Users may take the training in one-hour increments, up to entire series.
Click on the link below to access the course. Note: if the link does not take you direclty to the Ohio Fire Code Update - 2011, please copy and paste the link into your browser to access the course.
The ICC site requires the user to establish an account and “purchase” the training program at no cost. We are hopeful this training will benefit CFSI personnel across the state.
