Pediatric Disaster Preparedness

In 2012, the Ohio EMSC Committee and several stakeholders in statewide disaster planning, posed the following question: Are the needs of Ohio’s children adequately considered in current disaster planning, and if not adequate, what changes are needed? This group’s decision was to continue to include pediatrics in disaster planning at all levels. The coalition emphasized involving appropriate state disaster planners in future group activities.
