Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator Workshops

This fall, the Ohio EMS for Children Program will conduct surveys of EMS agencies, asking specifically about Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinators (PECCs) and pediatric skill assessment. In order to help agencies understand these Performance Measures, including expectations, Ohio EMS for Children will offer workshops in October and November 2017 at several locations statewide. These workshops will highlight the PECC position and will include a breakout session on pediatric skill assessment.

Workshop registration is FREE! EMS continuing education hours will be provided by each of the participating locations (Athens County EMS will provide hours for the Athens session). All those in a leadership role in EMS in their agencies are encouraged to attend.

  • Cincinnati: Friday, October 6, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital
  • Athens: Friday, October 13, O’Bleness Hospital
  • Columbus: Friday, October 27, Nationwide Children’s Hospital
  • Akron: Thursday, November 16, Akron Children’s Hospital
  • Boardman: Friday, November 17, Akron Children’s Hospital Beeghly Campus
  • Cleveland, Dayton, Toledo: TBD
